YOUNG ARTISTS COMPETITIONYoung Photographer Competition,

The selected candidates will exhibit at FIAM in the pavilion of Houses of Art. The photography will be judged by the public and by a jury of art professionals. The winner will have the honour to exhibit at the prestigious gallery Houses of Art Marbella in the Marbella Club Hotel. Photographers that would like to participate will have to submit their CV and a maximum of four high resolution pictures of their work to or Marbella@housesofart.com before the 10th of May. The selected works will be announced before the 15th of May and must be send to Gallery Houses of Art Marbella, Marbella Club Hotel, Blv. Principe Alfonso von Hohenlohe , 29600, Marbella , before June the 1st. Entry Fee: € 60, 00 entry fee to be paid at same time of submission of works.
To be paid by bank transfer to the account of Houses of Art Marbella as follows: Bank account: Security:Security will be provided during the nights of the exhibition by Art Fair organisation. LIABILITY:Artists are responsible for insuring their work during transit to and from the gallery. Gallery is not liable for any responsibility for damage or loss to any of the works during transit to and from the gallery Transport:all the transports to and from the Houses of Art gallery are on charge of every artists. Artwork may be hand delivered or shipped. Accepted work must remain on display for the entire duration of the fair and cannot be removed from Houses of art tent or gallery until the end of the Fair on 20th of June. Shipping Your Accepted Artworks: Accepted Artworks may be shipped or hand delivered to Houses of Art Gallery Marbella Club Hotel,Bulevar Príncipe Alfonso von Hohenlohe,29600 Marbella, Málaga, Spain.Tel: +34 952 857 196 to arrive by no later than the first of June 2009. Shipped works must include an UPS prepaid return shipping label. Use care when packing your artwork. Cushion artwork on all sides with at least 4 inches of packing material and pack in a sturdy shipping carton. Popcorn (loose foam) is not an acceptable packing material. Houses of Art are not responsible for artwork damaged during shipment and reserve the right to disqualify damaged artwork from the exhibition. All work must be, labelled on the back with the artist’s name, size, title of work, and medium. Artwork Pick-up All artwork will be available for pick-up Sunday the 20th of June from 9 to 11 pm. There is a €15 per day charge for each artwork removed after the scheduled pick-up dates. Rules & Conditions Young Photographers Competition 2010All work must be suitably framed, wired *The size of the ARTWORK cannot exceed 1 m2. A) Image title. B) Your Representations with respect to submitted materials. For any materials you submit to the YPC (Young Photographers Competition) including any submitted photographs and your image title ("Submitted Materials") you represent and requires the following: (ii) That you are the author of any text that you sent to us; (iii) That all necessary model releases have been obtained from any clearly identifiable person appearing in any image, together with any other necessary consents that may be required, and that the use of any Submitted Materials in this competition does not breach any copyright, moral right, or other right of any other person or entity; (iv) That the Submitted Materials are not immoral, and do not reveal any impropriator or trade secrets, and do not defame, libel or slander any person; and (v) That you own the copyright and other relevant rights to the Submitted Materials, that you will not license or assign such copyright during the course of the competition, that you have full power and authority to grant the licenses and authorizations granted to enter the YPC (Young Photographers Competition), and that submission of the Submitted Materials and use and display of same is not and will not be contrary to any law or any contract or agreement you have with any third-party. (vi) YPC (Young Photographers Competition) and Houses of Art Marbella will not be liable to you for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever suffered or sustained by any person or entity that results from or arises out of use or display of Submitted Materials in connection with YPC (Young Photographers Competition) as authorized herein. (vii) You will indemnify YPC (Young Photographers Competition) and it’s Houses of Art Marbella from and against any loss, damages, costs or claims, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of a breach of any of the foregoing representations and warranties. Any breach of the foregoing representations and warranties will also (1) render the related Submitted Materials subject to removal from the Contest and the Contest Gallery; (2) disqualify the entrant from participation in the competition and make the entrant's account immediately terminable; and (3) forfeit any prizes, awards, or honours you received. C) Use of Images. By entering the competition, Participants grant YPC (Young Photographers Competition) and Houses of Art Marbella an irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide royalty-free license to reproduce, publicly display, distribute, publicly perform and create derivative works from their Submitted Materials, in all media, including on the Contest Gallery. YPC (Young Photographers Competition) and Houses of Art Marbella shall have the right to grant sublicenses, including to the press and publicity agents in promotion of the competition, and for any other purpose. D) Participant Data. We care about the privacy of our contest entrants. Your personal data will NOT be provided to third parties for unsolicited marketing. Participants grant YPC (Young Photographers Competition) and Houses of Art Marbella and/or sponsors the right to use Submitted personal data (Such as name, contact information, and email address) in the administration and judging of the YPC (Young Photographers Competition) and Houses of Art Marbella. Among other things, such information may be provided to competition administrators and judges, and we will use the email address you provide for communications related to the YPC (Young Photographers Competition). By using the website or participating in the competition, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to, processed and stored. We will retain your information in order to provide you with information related to future YAPC (Young Photographers Competition) programs and information from Competition Partners / Sponsors. YPC (Young Photographers Competition) and Houses of Art Marbella and its Competition Partners / Sponsors shall have the right to use and publish all winners and finalists’ names and their approved likenesses for publicity purposes.
