ARTIST INFORMATION

Dineke Beereboom (1945, Westerbork) plays with the balance between self-protection and exposure. The execution of this theme is visibly inspired by the two big passions of the artist: Dance and theatre. Her work is also strongly influenced by her long stays in West Africa and her participation in different international sculpting symposia there. Mankind and all its different aspects are the central theme of her elegant and dynamic sculptures, which she makes in bronze, granite and marble or a balanced combination of those three. Her work is very popular and regularly exhibited in the Netherlands, France and Belgium.
