ARTIST INFORMATION
Peter Bremers (1957) has always been inspired by his journeys and encounters with other cultures. In the past mostly religious, mythologist and ritual aspect were inspiration for his new work. After his visit to the coral and volcano islands of Oceania, with is overwhelming beauty of nature, especially under water, he received completely new inspiration. Since a couple of years Peter Bremers had started working with the famous English glass blower Neil Wilkin in his studio in Somerset. Bremers work is exotically cheerful, sparkling an vibration combination of colours. Tropical fishes, coral and flower patterns, now and then surprisingly on the inside of the object, are captured in large glass blown shapes. Peter Bremers work has recently been exhibited in Dubai and will be shown at the glass museum MAVA in Madrid this fall.
