ARTIST INFORMATION
Jos Dirix (1958)
The lifelike sculptures of Jos Dirix have managed to touch many art lovers in Holland and abroad, and his work can be admired in different galleries and museums. The bronze works of this sculptor seem to be an ode to nature: Men and animal repeatedly return as the subject of his work. Not an anatomically correct reproduction, but transferring the essence of his subject is his goal: Jos Dirix catches the dynamic and temper of his subject, which makes his works spontaneous and lively. The beauty of his bulls, horses and women is in the smell, the movement and the life the spectator experiences.
