ARTIST INFORMATION

Eppe de Haan (1949) studied at the Royal Art Academy in The Hague. He now works in Pietrasanta, Italy, near the famous Carrara marble pits. In this village, where famous artists like Botero have their studio, he works on his bronze and marble torsos and portraits. They are a materialisation of his search for balance. A balance between ideal beauty and reality, between male and female and between force and sensuality. His classically rooted but very modern sculptures are regularly exhibited in Holland and abroad. In 2006, his monograph was published.
